Travel in and to Örebro

How do you get to Örebro? How do you get around once you’re there? Here’s some practical information that will come in handy when planning your visit to Örebro.

Trip to Örebro

There are direct trains to Örebro from Gothenburg and Stockholm. If you’re traveling from Malmö or Copenhagen, you can transfer in Mjölby, for example. For reservations, schedules, and information on how to travel from other destinations, visit SJ.  

You can also take a bus with companies such as Bus4You from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo, and many other destinations. Flixbus also offers several routes to Örebro. 

Bus4You operates a direct bus service between Arlanda and Örebro, but you can also take the train with SJ/Arlanda Express, changing trains in Stockholm. Both options take about 2 hours and 40 minutes. By car, the trip to Örebro takes about two hours. From Stockholm-Skavsta, the easiest way to get to Örebro is by rental car, a trip of about two hours. You can also take a bus to Katrineholm, then a train to Örebro with a transfer in Hallsberg. 

Travel around Örebro and the surrounding area 

Länstrafiken operates buses and trains to many different destinations both in the city of Örebro and the surrounding area. In the city center, the Slottet stop serves as a hub for city buses, while buses to other destinations depart from the Travel Center at Örebro Central Station.
