At Järle Station, you can take a real journey back in time. This small, idyllic train station, located 20 kilometers north of Örebro, is actually the oldest in Sweden. The building was constructed as early as 1854—in fact, a few years before the railroad itself reached this area.
In the summer, history truly comes to life. Then you can ride a vintage train from Järle Station to the idyllic wooden town of Nora or to the mining village of Pershyttan. Choose between an old-fashioned railbus or a classic chugging and whistling steam train.
The station itself is an attraction. Just buying a train ticket at the classic ticket window is an experience in itself! The stationmaster’s residence houses a summer café with a lovely outdoor seating area. Here, you can watch the trains go by while enjoying a cup of coffee and delicious homemade pastries.
