Örebro is teeming with outdoor dining spots during the spring and summer. Here you’ll find great places to eat and drink, whether you’re looking for something upscale or more casual. Whether you want to dance to great music or are just looking for a nice place to hang out, there’s something for everyone.

Roof-top bars

Örebro is home to several rooftop bars and outdoor dining spots that take you above ground level and offer stunning views. Here are three favorites.

The Terrace at Tillsammans

During the spring and summer, Restaurant Tillsammansopens its glass-enclosed outdoor seating area, Terrassen. Located four floors up in Behrn Arena, it’s ready and waiting for you to sit back with a drink in hand and enjoy the sunset.

Glassery

Glassery, Örebro’s rooftop bar and restaurant, is located at Södercity. Take the elevator up to the top floor for a pleasant time in the glass-enclosed area or on the outdoor terrace—with an incredible view either way!

Outdoor dining

Doesn't the idea of dining high above the ground appeal to you? No problem—Örebro has plenty of outdoor dining spots at ground level, too. Here are a few of them.

Main Square

Stortorget is a real goldmine when it comes to outdoor dining. There’s a wide variety of options here, and many of the outdoor dining spots are open from April through October. Satin, Sorella, Mojo, Fratelli, and Stora Örebro are some of the favorites that return year after year. Try one spot or take a stroll around the entire square to find your favorite.

Stallbacken

Enter from Engelbrektsgatan to reach Stallbacken, a square with several charming restaurants and outdoor dining areas. Stop by Gro Örebro or Makeriet for lunch, have dinner at Amano, grab a beer at Skjulet, or come later when the entire square transforms into a party with a great atmosphere and dancing under the open sky.

If you walk through Stallbacken, you’ll come to Hållstugan, where you’ll find two more restaurants with outdoor seating: Restaurang Basta and Restaurang Plankton.

Iron Square

Beer lover? Then Järntorget is the place to be! Here, you can settle in at the outdoor seating areas of Örebro Öhall, Dannes Pub, Blackstone Steakhouse, and Fatcuz to enjoy a cold one. Is wine more your thing? No problem—right next to Järntorget are the wine bars Vinkiosken and Punta Nera, which also have outdoor seating where you can enjoy a glass of something delicious.

Husaren's Alley

On Husarens gränd, several restaurants overlook a shared courtyard. Together, STÅ – pintxos & vänner, MM’s café, and Boulebar create a cozy oasis with petanque courts and a pleasant summer hangout.

The Fåfängan Neighborhood

In the newly built Fåfängan neighborhood, just a stone’s throw from Örebro Resecentrum, three popular restaurants await: Marin Grill och Meze, Tinget matbar, andBerra Burra. Of course, they all have outdoor seating—facing the courtyard or the street.

Along the Svartån River

Along the Svartån River, you can enjoy delicious food and drinks at several outdoor restaurants. Both in the heart of town and just a short walk out into nature. In the heart of town, you can enjoy food and drinks with beautiful views at Så mycket mer, Lill-Anna’s Castle Café, Kulturbistron, and Frimis. You can also take a walk along the Svartån River and visit two summer gems: Örebro Hamnkrog and Naturens Hus.

Brunch, lunch, and coffee and pastries

At several cafés and lunch spots in Örebro, you can sit outdoors for brunch, lunch, or coffee. Right in the heart of Örebro’s shopping streets at Steffos, Lilla Örebro, and Bara Vara. On the terrace at La Makka. At Vasa Bakery, with a view of Stortorget and St. Nikolai Church. Or at Gamla Örebro and Kafé Karsbjer in leafy Wadköping. Some of them also stay open later into the evening, so you can stay there from morning until night.
