Erbil
RestaurantErbilin Söder could be the very definition of the phrase “small but mighty.” It’s practically just a hole in the wall—but what a hole! The name comes from the capital of the Iraqi part of Kurdistan, and the menu offers a sampling of the Middle East’s exciting flavors. Falafel, shawarma, and freshly baked samoon bread share the menu with modern Swedish classics like kebab pizza and chicken nuggets.

Mii Soo
Our culinary journey continues eastward, stopping in Southeast Asia with Malaysia as the highlight. Physically, we’re at Stortorget and at the restaurantMii Soo. The name means “rice art,” and the menu features both well-known and perhaps less common dishes from Asian cuisine. The aroma of curry and soy is, of course, present, but there are also other exciting flavors here that will transport you far away from Örebro.
Psst! If you like Asian flavors, check out our list of restaurants that will take you on a culinary journey through East Asia!
Yerevan Mangal
A hundred miles north of Erbil lies Armenia’s capital, Yerevan. Or Yerevan. Or Eriwan. Or Երևան. A beloved child’s name can be spelled in many ways. And love is what blossoms when the South Caucasian flavors ofYerevan Mangalmeet the palate. The specialty is grilled skewers of all kinds, deliciously complemented by fantastic sauces. Don’t miss the Armenian tea afterward. Ask the staff for help if you don’t understand how it works. It’s worth it.

Chandani
The Indian gemChandaniexudes a genuine love of food. Here, they serve hearty, well-prepared dishes inspired by different regions of India. Try one of the dishes cooked in a tandoor oven and explore a variety of interesting Indian beers.
Chilango Bar
We’re continuing the evening in Latin America—though here in Örebro Market Hall, atthe Chilango Bar. Here, they serve classic Margaritas and Mojitos, along with other drinks that compete with each other to be the biggest explosion of flavor and color on the drink menu. Of course, there are also non-alcoholic options. And if you’d like to pair your drinks with something tasty to eat, there’s plenty to choose from at the Market Hall. With flavors from Vietnam, Italy—and Smögen, among other places.
The cousin
The aroma of grilled meat and well-seasoned dishes is what greets us at our next stop in Istanbul. Restaurant Kusinen, located in Sorella’s premises on Stortorget, serves traditional recipes with a modern twist. Experience the flavors of carefully prepared kebabs based on family recipes passed down through generations. The menu features wraps, bowls, pizza, and plates.
Fancy some Italian food?
