Sörön
In the Sörön Nature Reserve, you ’ll encounter both returning birds and spring flowers just waking up. In the spring and early summer, for example, you’ll find spring vetch and Vättern rose here—not to mention all the bluebells and wood anemones. The flowers grow like carpets on the ground—a true dream for all flower lovers! You can get here by bus, followed by a 2–3-kilometer walk. Garphyttan National Park
In Garphyttan National Park, you’ll encounter flora and fauna reminiscent of the meadows of yesteryear. First to bloom, as early as March, is the daphne, which produces pink flowers on bare twigs. Just a few weeks later, the ground is covered with thousands of bluebells and wood anemones. Next to bloom is the cowslip, which is Närke’s provincial flower and is protected and fully preserved in Örebro County. Around Midsummer, it’s the vibrant colors of buttercups, cuckoo flowers, and hogweed, among others, that take your breath away.
Garphyttan National Park is located about 25 kilometers from Örebro, southwest of the town of Garphyttan. Part of the Bergslagsleden hiking trail passes through the northwestern part of the park.

The Latorp Fields
At the end of May and beginning of June, a special flower draws hundreds of visitors to Latorpsängarna. The flower is called the lady's slipper and blooms in early summer. The lady's slipper is something of a celebrity in the floral world. The lady's slipper is a protected species, so please stay on the trails when visiting Latorpsängarna so you don't step on them.
Near the nature reserve is the popular destination Tant Grön. This place truly lives up to its name and is lush and green both inside and out. Here you’ll find delicious food and coffee, home decor items, clothing, and plenty of flowers, plants, and gardening supplies.

Herrfallsäng
The Närke region’s state flower, the cowslip, has made the Herrfallsäng Nature Reserve a popular destination for springtime outings. The cowslip blooms a little later in the spring, alongside lilies of the valley, lungwort, and martagon lilies, among others. There is an easy-to-walk trail here that is also partially adapted for improved accessibility. The parking lot features a reserved spot for people with disabilities and an additional accessible picnic table.

Järleån
When the snow melts in the spring, the water roars through the rapids at Järleån’s “ .” The area around the river features a varied landscape with rolling trails winding through both deciduous forests and pastures. Both the flora and birdlife are abundant here in the spring and early summer. You can take the bus here; search for “Bondebyn” and “Övre Järle” on the Länstrafiken website.
