Published March 31, 2022 / Updated April 16, 2026
The old mill in Lindbacka has been given a new lease on life. Its historic industrial charm remains, but today the old buildings are home to a coffee roastery, a summer café, and several other creative businesses. Lindbacka Mill is a popular destination, just a 20-minute bike ride from town.

New experiences in historic surroundings

Lindbacka Milldates back to the 1860s and is now a popular venue for parties and events. The old factory, which is connected to the mill, houses, among other things,Hos Fru Fi —a ceramics shop and summer café. The same building is home to Lindbacka Kollektivet, which comprises four businesses:Återbruket, featuring vintage and antique items; JJ Keramik, offering crafts and art; Butik Nomad, specializing in furniture and interior design; and Punkgarden, selling gardening supplies and seeds.

Across the street, you’ll find the popular artisan bakery Bageri Sonja. Here, a cozy atmosphere awaits, along with perhaps the city’s most sought-after buns.

The new building is home to Spanish Food, which sells Spanish delicacies and serves them at the tapas bar La Barra. It also houses the kombucha breweryHej Kombucha, the coffee roasteryCozo Coffee with its own blends, a self-service country store, and ContinYou Design and Vintage.

Lindbacka Bruk serves as a hub for a variety of creative ventures, including those without a storefront or that aren’t open to the public. For example, it’s home to Sweden’s oldest and most active cigar club and a music studio that’s planning more music events in Lindbacka. The sharpest knife in the drawer? That would probably be Spåre Knives, which makes knives from local materials and also offers some courses.

The public activities are primarily open on weekends, at markets, and during the summer. For more information on opening hours, check out their Instagram accounts or visit the Lindbacka Bruk website.
