OpenArt is an art biennial, which means it is held every two years. The 2026 exhibition marks the tenth edition of OpenArt and runs from June 13 to September 6.
OpenArt fills Örebro’s city center with art. On streets and squares, in the Svartån River, on building facades and in parks—and in other, often unexpected, places. With OpenArt, people encounter contemporary art that surprises, takes up space, and moves them, right in the heart of city life. There are also various programs and activities suitable for visitors of all ages.

This year, OpenArt is expanding beyond the municipality of Örebro by inviting the municipalities of Askersund, Kumla, Laxå, Lindesberg, and Nora to install their own artwork linked to the exhibition in Örebro. This is a way to both celebrate and further develop the significance of art in the region.
