Burger Bonanza in Örebro

Published December 21, 2020 / Updated April 22, 2026
With or without sesame seeds on the top bun? All the trimmings or just a simple cheese burger? Dressing on top or underneath? What makes the best burger is, of course, a matter of taste. But one thing is certain: Örebro is a city full of burgers, with great options for everyone—whether you prefer fish, poultry, or something in between.

Here are some recommendations for restaurants in Örebro that specialize in burgers or offer burgers on their menus. Whether you’re in the mood for a cheese-dripping mega-burger, a local luxury burger with freshly baked buns, or a vegan-friendly green burger, we think you’ll find what you’re looking for here!

Bastard Burgers

"Inspired by New York and rooted in Norrland"—that’s how Bastard Burgers describes its culinary philosophy. At the restaurant on Järnvägsgatan, you’ll find burgers with names that nod to the country across the pond, but also to cities in northern Sweden. They also serve a daily lunch special where fries and soda are included in the price. In 2026, Bastard Burgers was named Burger Chain of the Year by Burgerdudes.

Tasty Bros

According to the experts at Burgerdudes, you’ll find Örebro’s best (and Sweden’s 20th best in 2026) burger at Tasty Bros. The signature burger—featuring 125 grams of locally sourced beef, homemade truffle mayonnaise, and bacon jam—is the menu’s flagship item. Tasty Bros is located at Stortorget 6.

The Hamburger Factory

Hamburgerbruket was founded back in 2013 in Örebro. At the time, it had a different name and was located elsewhere, but now this popular restaurant has established itself near Svampen in Örebro—and in other cities as well. The burgers have clever names that hint at their ingredients: The Hunter, The Master, and The Blacksmith. Which burger do you identify with?

Bonnatösen

Want to combine a day trip with a great burger? Then Bonnatösen’s burger is just the thing for you! Head to Nora and treat yourself to a culinary delight. The burger varies from week to week but always features locally sourced beef, cheddar from Väddö Dairy, and brioche buns. The burger was awarded eighth place and named “Newcomer of the Year” when Burgerdudes selected Sweden’s best burgers in 2026.

Mike's Food Truck

Mike’s food truck opened in 2015 and has since become a familiar sight on the streets and squares of Örebro. Locally sourced beef from Närke, locally baked bread, and toppings that the staff chop, prepare, and mix themselves come together to create a wide selection of smashed burgers. Mike’s Original, Bacon BBQ, and Totally Truffle are three of the customers’ favorites. Today, the business has three food trucks on the road—keep your eyes peeled to see where they’ll stop next.

At Mike’s Food Truck, many of the ingredients are locally sourced.
