Dog-friendly accommodations
Bring your dog to a hotel? Yes, please. In Örebro, there are many hotels and accommodations that understand that dogs aren’t just dogs—they’re full-fledged family members. Just with paws and a tail. You can see some of these dog-friendly accommodations here.
Staying at a hotel with a dog
Best Western Eurostop Örebro allows you to bring two dogs for free and will prepare the room with both dog beds and food bowls. They offer single rooms, double rooms, and family rooms where dogs are welcome. You can enjoy breakfast together in the lobby.
Clarion Hotel Örebro welcomes guests traveling with dogs to stay in select rooms. The hotel provides a small goodie bag with treats. Guests who wish to bring their dog to breakfast may eat in the lobby.
Elite City Hotel and Elite Stora Hotellet are two centrally located, dog-friendly hotels. They provide dog treats and poop bags. Plus, you can borrow food and water bowls for your room.
Good Morning Hotel Örebro welcomes your dog with fresh water, soft paw towels, and organic treats in the lobby. Here, you can share a double room with your dog, who will also receive their own goodie bag. If you’d like some four-legged company in the morning, you can have breakfast brought to your room.
Home Hotel Borgen welcomes your furry friend to stay in any of our room types. You can enjoy both breakfast and dinner together, as long as you’re seated in the lounge or library.
Lannalodge does the opposite and offers guests with allergies their own rooms. This means your four-legged friend is welcome in all other room types. Your dog is also welcome in the restaurant and on the golf course.
Scandic has three hotels in Örebro where dogs are welcome. At Scandic Grand Örebro and Scandic Örebro Central , you can book pet-friendly standard double rooms. Scandic Örebro Väst also has select double rooms where dogs are allowed. Here, your dog can even join you in the breakfast room. A water bowl and a tasty treat are included at all three hotels.
Campgrounds and bed and breakfasts
First Camp Ånnaboda is a nature-oriented campground where you and your dog are just steps away from adventurous hiking trails and a dog swimming area. After all that outdoor play, you can wash off those sandy paws in the dog shower.
Gustavsvik Camping offers dog-friendly cabins measuring 15 square meters. However, some of the larger cabins—those measuring 30 square meters—also allow four-legged guests. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio. The campground also has a small dog run and a pet shower.
Hagbackens Gård Bed & Breakfast welcomes two dogs per room—and you can book any room type. Your dog or dogs are welcome to join you for breakfast, as long as it’s okay with the other guests.

Dog-friendly cafes and restaurants
Enjoy good food and drink with your dog by your side. In and around Örebro, many restaurants, outdoor dining areas, and cafés welcome your furry friend with open arms. In the spring and summer, it’s even easier—most outdoor dining areas allow pets, as long as you ask and there’s room.
The Summer Favorite: People & Dogs
Nestled in a lush garden, you’ll find Spretiga Ladan. A rural idyll with Falun-red facades, a café, flowers, crafts, and flea markets. Here you’ll also find the café Folk & Hund, where both two-legged and four-legged guests have their own menus. Dogs, big and small, snuggle up on velvet sofas and enjoy waffles and egg tarts. If you want to teach your dog good manners, Spretiga Ladan offers courses in café etiquette. Of course, you can also browse through hand-knitted dog sweaters. Simply put, a gem for both dogs and dog lovers.
Dog-shaped ice cream at Sörens Glassbar
Don’t you think dogs can get just as much of a craving for ice cream as their owners? At Sörens Glassbar, right next to Sörbybacken, you’ll find dog-friendly ice cream in two flavors. So why not combine a summer stroll around the hill with a cozy ice cream break with your pooch?

Vacation Tips for Active Dogs
Does your dog love to run free, play with other dogs, or bound over logs and rocks? Here are some tips on dog parks, dog-friendly swimming spots, and nature trails.
Let your dog run free at dog parks
Run free and play—off-leash. Örebro has three municipal dog parks. They are located in Lundby, Brickebacken, and Åbyparken. Three lush green spaces adjacent to nature trails. All feature fences, logs, sand, and other dogs to play with.
Swimming with your dog
Sandy paws and wet dog fur—just like a post-swim shower. Some dogs seem to love water more than life itself. Luckily, there are beaches and piers where water-loving dogs can swim to their heart’s content. At Lake Ånnabosjön, dogs have their very own swimming spot. It has everything a safe and clean dog swimming area needs. Dogs who prefer a dry coat can take their human friends on a discovery tour. Along the lake, there’s a beautiful walking path that’s a hit with both two-legged and four-legged friends.
Walks in the woods and countryside
The best gift for an active dog? A long walk filled with exciting scents to discover. Out in the woods and countryside, a walk is also a great workout—especially if your dog gets to run free through the underbrush and moss. Here are our top tips:
