3 kilometers: Dovrasjö Valley

In the Dovrasjö Valley, you can hike around one, two, or three lakes. The trail around the first lake is 2.3 kilometers long. From the parking lot north of the Dovrasjö Valley, it’s just over a kilometer to the northern end of Lake Dovrasjö, so the total hiking distance is a little over 3 kilometers.

The Mariedammsleden is a 4-kilometer hiking trail through gently rolling terrain (which can also be extended to 9 kilometers). It begins and ends at the Trehörning blast furnace in Mariedamm and passes through parts of Lerbäck, one of the country’s oldest mining districts.

The shortest stage of the Bergslagsleden trail features the steep Falkaberget hill, words of wisdom by Dag Hammarskjöld carved into the rock, and a beautiful view of the forest and Lake Falka.

8 kilometers: The Angsjö Trail in Karlskoga

The Angsjöleden trail circles the forested lake Angsjön in Karlskoga, starting and ending at Valåsen. Follow the yellow markers on trees and rocks along the trail. There are two rest areas with fire pits along the trail.
