The rickety rope bridge takes you across the roaring rapids on the way up to the mountain peak. That’s where it ends. You hesitate. The only way forward is to plunge into the swirling water. But to turn back…? After coming this far?
- Are you going sometime?
Her tone is sharp and a little irritated. Behind you stands a little girl with curly hair, a bold gaze, and a swim ring. Wait a minute… A swim ring…? Here?
Suddenly, you snap out of it. You realize that this isn’t actually a Southeast Asian jungle, but a water park in the middle of the Närke Plain, and that the Lost City is part of one of Örebro’s biggest attractions, the Gustavsvik Water Park. And that the little girl is far more eager to plunge into the whitewater rapids than you are.

Lost City - a water-filled amusement park
You’re not alone. The Lost City water park attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Amid palm trees and ferns in the lush jungle setting, you’ll find several thrilling water slides. Press a button and change the scenery inside. Compete with a friend and try to set the fastest time of the day. Or take on Sweden’s longest water slide, over 200 meters long with a ride time of one minute.
Lost City isn’t your average swimming pool. Nor is it your average water park. Rather, it’s one huge water-filled amusement park. A full-day experience where you can also enjoy lunch in the middle of the lush jungle.

Gustavsvik Resort with an adventure pool
Gustavsvik is more than just Lost City’s water park. More summer adventures await just around the corner. The large summer pool area features additional water slides, pools, and expansive green spaces where you can spread out a blanket. For those who prefer to stay active, there’s a large gym right next to the pool.
Right next door is the five-star family campground, featuring 675 campsites and several modern service buildings. The campground also offers fully equipped cabins, a shop, an ice cream bar, and the Campero restaurant.
There are plenty of activities, so you’ll never be bored here. In addition to the two pools, you can play mini-golf among some of Örebro’s landmarks. How about a hole-in-one among the castle’s ghosts? For younger visitors, there are also electric and pedal cars, a mini-disco, bouncy castles, and a large playground. Perfect for keeping the whole family both entertained and relaxed at the same time.
