Örebro Art Museum exhibits contemporary art

Published December 4, 2020 / Updated May 12, 2026
Örebro Konsthall (ÖBKHL) is a gallery dedicated to Swedish and international contemporary art, located in the heart of downtown Örebro.

Örebro Art Gallery has been in existence since 1979, when it was known as Galleri Fenix, named after its former location, "Fenixhuset." In 2021, Örebro Art Gallery moved to Kulturkvarteret.

Our goal is to provide exciting art experiences for the residents of Örebro and visitors to the city by exhibiting high-quality Swedish and international contemporary art. Another mission is to spread knowledge about art and make it accessible to children, young people, and adults. Örebro Konsthall is part of the Culture and Leisure Administration of Örebro Municipality and manages the municipality’s collection of over 9,000 works, of which approximately 300 are located outdoors.
