Stora Holmen in Örebro is an island just for kids. In the summer, you can get there by taking the small rowboat ferry Wictoria from Stadsparken; the rest of the year, you can walk across the bridge from the area near the university hospital.
There’s always something to do here, but the park is especially open during the months of May through August. During that time, you’ll find mini-carousels and a mini-zoo with a petting area, among other attractions. You can rent a pedal car and drive around the little town or hop on the Lilleputt Train at Trollebo Station and take a ride around the island.
Stora Holmen’s newest addition to the world of adventure for little ones is Bäverkullen, a play area made of natural materials that invites jumping and roughhousing.

Just a stone's throw from Stora Holmen, there's plenty of room for more play at Örebro's largest playground, located in beautiful Stadsparken.
Tip! If you'd like to discover more of Örebro's outdoor play areas and playgrounds, you can find a map of all the city's locations on the Örebro Municipality website.
