All well and good, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from city life and enjoy some peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful nature. The perfect place for that isStadsparken, right next to the Svartån River and just a few minutes’ walk from Örebro Castle. The park consists of several gardens that, in the summer, are filled with flowers and foliage to both enjoy and be inspired by.
A place for food and play
Stadsparken offers more than just a green (in the summer, of course) and pleasant setting. One tip is to grab a coffee or lunch atthe Stadsträdgården restaurant and café. For kids who love to play and have energy to burn, help is close at hand. Stadsparken has a large play area with three play structures designed for different age groups. Örebro is also known for its many wonderful play areas, several of which are in or around the city center.
More nature just around the corner
Looking for more nature experiences? Perfect. A walk along the river on the edge of Stadsparken leads to the charming wooden-house neighborhood ofWadköping. Keep walking and you’ll soon come across allotment gardens, a marina, and eventually the two nature reserves by Lake Hjälmaren,Oset and Rynningeviken(which one you end up at depends on which side of the river you choose).
